Did you go to your church for help and didn’t feel heard?
Did you get a sense that the church held you responsible for the abuse directed against you?
Was your abuser seen as more credible than you? KNOW that you are not to blame.
KNOW that such an intervention by your pastor is not of God.
KNOW that you are loved as a child of God and that it is not HIS will that you take the blame or stay in an unsafe situation.
KNOW that God holds your abuser accountable even if your church or your pastor does not.
KNOW that there ARE pastors and Christians out there who truly understand what you are going through.
KNOW that to God you are his precious child and your well-being and safety is everything to him.
